Gibran Hamdan, who played his college football for Indiana, was taken by the Washington Redskins as the 232nd pick overall in the seventh round of the 2003 draft.

At Indiana, he accumulated 2,115 passing yards and nine touchdowns in his senior season. His total passing yards were the seventh-best in Hoosier history.

He's been associated with five NFL teams and one NFL Europe team in the past five years. From 2003-2004, he was a quarterback for the Washington Redskins. He played for the Amsterdam Admirals from 2004 through 2006 and was associated with the Seattle Seahawks (2005-2006), San Francisco 49ers (2006), and Miami Dolphins (2007). Since 2007, he has been a member of the Buffalo Bills.

Hamden has played one game in the NFL. That was in 2003 for the Redskins. He went one for two and earned a rating of 58.3.

The six-foot-four, 220-pound QB is built for the position but lacks a load of experience having been relegated to practice squads and/or cut from many of the teams that signed him. He's also been hampered by numerous injuries. He is third on the Bills' depth chart.
