John David Booty, quarterback, was drafted out of USC in 2008 by the Minnesota Vikings. He was the 137th overall pick and was chosen in the fifth round.

Booty played three seasons with the USC Trojans, starting for the team in 2006 and 2007. He completed 63.4-percent of his passes, throwing 55 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. His career rating was 141.6 and yardage through the air was 6,035.

In college, the six-foot-two, 213-pound Booty, proved to be an accurate pocket passer who could ably run an offense. Booty, who is a smart, developing player, is a good athlete with fine bloodlines. Still, he has a tough time when pressured, making bad decisions. He has average arm strength and is not the best long-ball passer. Still, his great work ethic will serve him well.
