Florent Malouda is a French international football player who currently features for the English Premier League giants Chelsea. He is a versatile footballer who can play as a left winger, as a second striker or behind the front two.
Florent Malouda began his career at little known French club Chateaurouz in 1996 and after four season, 59 appearances in French Ligue 2 and 5 goals, he joined Guingamp in the French top flight in the summer of 2000 and played for them for three seasons and played alongside his then and later Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba.
In the summer of 2003 French giants Olympique Lyonnais came calling and Malouda quickly established himself as a regular left winger for Lyon and went onto make 138 league appearances. He was declared the French Ligue 1 Player of the Year in the 2006-2007 season.
Chelsea signed Malouda from Lyon in the summer of 2007 for 20 million euros but Malouda failed to replay his Lyon form and at times struggled to adapt to the Premiership.
