Shaun Wright-Phillips, popularly known as SWP, is a England international footballer who currently features for the Premier League side Chelsea. He is of Jamaica and Grenadian descent and is the adopted son of the England legend Ian Wright. He plays as a right winger and is one of the best in his position.

SWP made his debut in professional football for Manchester City in 1999 and quickly made a name for himself as a right winger. He played for City until the summer of 2005 and made 153 league appearances scoring 26 goals.

Chelsea signed SWP in the summer of 2005 for 21 million pounds on a five-year contract. For the first season, he mostly warmed the substitutes' bench. But he has been more of a headway since the middle of the 2006-2007 season and has now made close to 100 league appearances for the Blues.

SWP made his international debut for England in August 2004 against Ukraine and scored too. He has since gone on to play 18 more games and has scored thrice in those 18 matches. He however missed the England bus for the 2006 Germany World Cup.
