Stefania Bianchini has competed in many sports including kickboxing and the Muay Thai. She however, dominates the arena in boxing matches against the world’s best. She debut in her first major bout in Munich, Germany against a 111-lb Regina Halmich grabbing the WIBF World Flyweight title from her. In May 1999, she earned the European Flyweight (50.8 kg) title against Sengul Ozokcu of Denmark.
She went on to win several boxing and kickboxing matches in 1999 and 2000, including the WPKL World Kickboxing 51.5-kg title. Bianchini was boxing with a German license since boxing was prohibited from being fought in Italy at that time. In 2001, she defeated Mariana Pampuk and Viktoria Varga. Mariana Pampuk requested for a rematch in 2002 but Bianchini still prevailed. In 2003, she was already fighting regularly in Italy (the prohibition has since been lifted) winning bouts against Reka Krempf, Judit Palecianu and a controversial win against Cathy Brown of the UK.
She retained her WAKO 50-kg division title in 2004 as well as her EBU Flyweight Boxing title, again defeating Reka Krempf. She also found herself in a rematch against former opponent Cathy Brown for the vacant WBC World Flyweight title. In March of 2004, she won by TKO over Dounia Tai of France retaining her WAKO 50-kg title.
In 2006, she successfully defended her WBC Flyweight title twice that year, first over Hagar Shmoulefeld of Israel and second, over Xiyan Zhang of China in a split draw. In 2007, she again defended her title in Italy over Maria Rosa Tabusso. She retained her title still later that year with a bout against Eileen Olszewski making her one of Italy’s best combat fighters.
