Darren Barr Fletcher is a Scottish international footballer who currently features for the Premiership and European champions Manchester United. He plays as a right sided midfielder and is the vie-captain of the Scottish national side.
Darren Fletcher joined Manchester United as a trainee in July 2000 and signed a professional contract in February 2001. He made his first team debut that year and was soon inducted into the first team on a regular basis in the 2003-2004 season and has been staring for Man United on several occasions. He has played over 107 league matches for Man United but most of them have come as a substitute.
Darren Fletcher made his international debut for Scotland in 2003 and soon established as a Scottish international. He became the youngest Scotland captain since John Lambie when he led his nation to a 1-0 friendly win over Estonia. He was then aged just 17 years and 92 days.
