Peter Forsberg is a Swedish ice-hockey player who is widely regarded as one of the best all round players to ever have played in the NHL. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers 6th overall in 1991 but was traded by Eric Lindros who refused to sign for Quebec Nordiques. Forsberg did his first season in 1994/95 and moved with the franchise to Colorado the following season. He contributed greatly to the team's winning two Stanley Cups in 1996 and in 2001. In addition, Forsberg has two Olympic and two World Championship gold medals.

Among his individual awards are:

1 Calder Trophy for Best Rookie in the NHL in 1994/95
1 Hart Trophy for Most Valuable Player in the NHL in 2002/03.
1 Art Ross Trophy for most points at the end of the season
5 All-Star Games
4 Viking Awards (best Swede in the NHL)
