JP Dumont is a Canadian left winger on the Nashville Predators.
Dumont was drafted by the New York Islanders in 1996, but continued playing in the QMJHL, where he put up 105, 108 and 99 points in his last three seasons. He was traded to Chicago before making his NHL debut, and spent two years in Chicago, where he saw limited playing time. In 2000, he was traded to Buffalo, where he finally got regular minutes. After spending 5 seasons in Buffalo, he was dealt to Nashville, where he became a top tier forward. In 2007-08, he set career highs with 29 goals and 72 points.
