David Legwand is an American center on the Nashville Predators.
Legwand was Nashville's first pick in the 1998 draft, going 2nd overall, behind superstar Vincent Lecavalier. Legwand had put up 105 points the previous season in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers. While his development in the NHL has taken a little bit longer than originally expected, he has been a consistent 30 point scorer, with his best season coming in 2006-07, when he netted 27 goals and 63 points in 78 games.
