Rasho Nesterovic

Rasho Nesterovic is a seven foot basketball player playing for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. Born in Slovenia, Nesterovic used to play basketball since he was ten years old and played for the Partizan Belgrade and KK Union Olimpija. In 1996 he was voted the MVP of the Under-22 European Championship when he represented Slovenian Youth National team. 1997-98 he was playing for the Virtus Kinder Bologna in the Italian League and also led the team to win the Euroleague Championship. He is presently captaining the Slovenian National Basketball team.

Nesterovich was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1998 as a center. He was with the Timberwolves for four seasons. In 2002-03 he was at his best average of 11.2 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game.
In 2004 he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs for a six year contract. He played two seasons with the Spurs and was a part of the San Antonio team that won the NBA Championship in 2005.
In 2006, Nesterovich was sold to the Toronto Raptors. He played with the Raptors till Mid 2008.
In June 2008, Nesterovich was bought by the Indiana Pacers.

In his career total of 699 games as a center, Nesterovich averages at 7.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game and 1.2 blocks per game with a career best of 11.2 ppg with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2002-03, 7.7 rpg and 2.0 bpg with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003-04.
