Alex Cora

Alex Cora is a Puerto Rican infielder on the Boston Red Sox.

Cora began his career in Los Angeles, playing second base and shortstop. He signed with Cleveland for the 2005 season, and was traded to Boston in July. Cora has played shortstop, first and third base for the Red Sox. He won his first World Series with the Red Sox in 2007. Cora was also part of the longest at bat in MLB history, as he hit a home run after surviving 17 previous pitches in the at bat, fouling off 14 straight in the process.
