JD Drew is an American right fielder on the Boston Red Sox.

Drew began his career in St. Louis in 1998 and remained with the club through 2003, where his work ethic was called into question, and he was hampered by injuries. In 2004, he had his best season after being traded to Atlanta. He hit 31 HRs and 96 RBIs while batting .305. He signed a contract with Los Angeles for the 2005 season. In 2007, he signed a five year deal with the Boston Red Sox. Drew was part of an interesting string of events, as well. While with the Dodgers, Drew was part of a back-to-back-to-back-to-back home run sequence on September 18, 2006. While this happening is very rare on its own, Drew repeated as part of yet another 4 HR sequence against the Yankees on April 22, 2007. While his offensive production struggled at the beginning of the 2007 season, Drew hit a key grand slam in the ALCS, to help the Sox advance to the World Series. In 2008, Drew has returned to form, batting at the top of the lineup and being selected to the AL All-Star team.
