Alex "Amazing" Arthur is a British professional boxer who was born June 26, 1978 at Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He fights in the Super-Featherweight division with an Orthodox stance. He is 5 feet and 5 inches tall, and is currently managed by Frank Warren.

Arthur turned pro in 2000 and has, since then, won 26 fights (19 Knockouts), and only 1 loss. Throughout these years of playing, he has managed to garner numerous titles such as the WBA International title (won in March 22, 2203), British titles (July 12 and October 25, 2003), and some other titles in between.

His highest title gained is his WBO (Interim) Title, which he won on July 21, 2007. Before he won this title, he had to defeat Koba Gogoladze. A couple of months after, he defended his title for the first time in a fight with Stephen Foster Jr., which he won. Although the fight against Foster was supposed to be an easy one, Arthur struggled to win a close unanimous decision. During the first few rounds, Arthur was getting beaten to the punch, taking in heavy blows from his opponent. However, he did manage to regain his composure, and by the end of the fight, he won by a close decision.

Perhaps his greatest fight noted in his career is his fight against Michael Gomez. This fight was viewed by many as a war between a rising star in British boxing, against a boxer who has been through many battles. In the end, Gomez won the contested fight by knocking out Arthur in the fifth round. Arthur's performance in the early rounds as well as his resiliency before getting knocked out eventually got the bout hailed as one of the best fights in Britain for years. To date, this loss has been Arthur's one and only career loss.
