Brent Stuart Lillibridge was born September 18, 1983 in Everett, Washington.

College
Brent played for the University of Washington for three seasons. He was a first-team All-Pac 10 Conference selection in 2005 as a junior. He started every Huskie game at shortstop and hit .330, leading the team in doubles (19), triples (4), home runs (tied with 8), RBI (45) and walks (36), and was second with 13 stolen bases. He made only six errors in 55 games his junior year.

MLB
Brent was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 4th round (121st overall) of the 2005 amateur entry draft.

On January 17, 2007 he was traded by the Pirates, with Mike Gonzalez, to the Braves for Adam LaRoche and Jamie Romak.

Minor Leagues
Brent began the 2008 season in Triple-A, playing for the Richmond Braves. He played 19 games and batted .195 with one home run.

Major Leagues
Brent's contract was purchased by the Braves on April 26, 2008, and he made his major league debut on that same day against the New York Mets.
