Jonathan Toews

Jonathan Toews is a Canadian center on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Toews played his college hockey at the University of North Dakota, and was drafted 3rd overall in 2006. Toews scored his first goal in his first NHL game with his first shot, as well as recording a point in each of his first ten games. He finished 3rd in votes for Rookie of the Year, after scoring 24 goals and 54 points.

Toews won three gold medals with Team Canada at the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships, as well as the 2007 World Hockey Championships. Toews and his Canadian teammates took home a silver medal in the 2008 tournament.

His younger brother will be attending the University of North Dakota, and was recently drafted by the New York Islanders.
