Patrick Kane is an American center on the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kane was the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft, and is part of a talented young group that Chicago hopes will help restore their franchise. Kane played for the London Knights in the OHL before being drafted, and his line scored a total of 394 points in the 2006-07 season. Kane was named the NHL rookie of the year, after scoring 21 goals and 72 points in his first season.
Kane played for Team USA at the 2008 World Championships, as well as playing on the American U-18 team in 2006, where he won a gold medal.
