Nik Antropov is a Kazakhstani center on the Atlanta Thrashers.
Antropov was the top draft pick for Toronto in the 1998 Draft. While he was projected as a top prospect, Antropov has been hampered by injuries and poor chemistry with various linemates. Finally, in 2007-08, Antropov had a breakout season, scoring 26 goals and 56 points. In the following season, Antropov scored 21 goals and 46 points with the Maple Leafs before being traded to the New York Rangers. With the Rangers, Antropov exploded for 13 points in 18 games, as well as 3 points in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. He signed with Atlanta during the 2009 offseason.
Antropov played for Kazakhstan as its captain in 1999 at the World Juniors and the 2006 Winter Olympics.
