Fabricio Coloccini

Fabricio Coloccini is an Argentine international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Deportivo la Coruna. He is considered one of the best centre backs in the world.

Fabricio Coloccini began his career at the youth team of Argentinios Juniors and made his professional debut with Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors in 1998. After one season he moved to Europe and to AC Milan.

But after one season, he was loaned to Argentine side San Lorenzo and won the Clausura championship in 2001. Coloccini was loaned out to Spanish club Deportivo Alaves for the 2001-2002 season and then Atletico Madrid for the 2002-2003 season and to Villarreal for the 2003-2004 season.

Fabricio Coloccini was impressive in all of those short stints and Deportivo la Coruna eventually signed him from Milan on a permanent deal in the summer of 2004. He has made over 100 appearances for Depor and is one of the best central defenders in Spanish footballer.

Fabricio Coloccini won the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championships with Argentina and made his debut for the senior side in 2003. Coloccini played in the 2005 Confederations Cup and in the 2006 Germany World Cup.
