Quique Alvarez is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Recreativo de Huelva. He plays as a central defender.
Quique Alvarez is a product of the famous youth academy of the Spanish and European powerhouse FC Barcelona but couldn’t quite establish himself in the first team at Camp Nou and moved to Villarreal in 2002. It was at el Madrigal that Quique Alvarez made his name as a top quality midfielder and was even a club captain when he became a regular starter for the Yellow Submarine.
In the summer of 2007 after making 186 league appearances for Villarreal and featuring for them prominently in the 2005-2006 UEFA Champions League campaign, he was signed by Recreativo de Huelva.
