Gerard Lopez Segu is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish football club Recreativo de Huelva. He plays as a midfielder.
Gerard Lopez started his career at Catalans giants FC Barcelona and after playing for Valencia and Alaves for a few years, he was inducted into the senior side at Barca in 2000.
He played at Camp Nou until the summer of 2005 and made close to 100 league appearances. In the summer of 2005 he was transferred to French club AS Monaco but he didn't find life any better at the French principality club and came back to Spain and to Getafe in the summer of 2007.
But at Getafe again, Lopez had to play mostly off the bench and in the summer of 2008 was signed by Andalucian club Recreativo de Huelva.
