Allen Ezail Iverson is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Denver Nuggets. He plays as a point guard or a shooting guard in the team. He wears the number 3 jersey. He is 6 ft in height and 165 lb in weight.
Allen studied at the Bethel High School but he never played for the basketball team. In the later years of his school Allen developed a certain interest in the game and soon became good at it. In 1994 Allen was offered a scholarship from the Georgetown College to pursue his basketball career. After spending 2 years with the college his name was included in the 1996 NBA draft from where he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
In the 1998-99 season Allen played in his first playoffs. In the ten playoff games that he played, he had an average of 44.4 mpg even though being injured for few games. He score an average 26.8 ppg. In the following year Allen was once again a part of the playoffs where he scored with an average of 26.2 ppg and 4 rpg.
Allen had one of his most remarkable season in 2001. The 76ers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks to play the Lakers in the finals. Allen scored a stunning 48 points in the first game which they won over the Lakers. However with the likes of Kobe Bryant and O'Neal the Lakers went on to win the following 4 games and eventually achieved the NBA championship.
The period from 2002 till 2006 was a time when Allen faced many controversies in his life due to which his performance had been affected. In the early 2007, Allen was traded to the Denver Nuggets and is currently still playing with the team.
