Juli Inkster nee Simpson is a female American professional golfer who was born in Los Altos, California, United States of America. She was born on June 24, 1960, and is married to golf pro Brian. She has two daughters Hayley Carole and Cori Simpson, and was named Golf Digests' Rookie of the Year in 1983.

When she was a child, Juli made it a point to practice before and after a day at school. Pretty soon, she became an employee of the golf club she practiced at, and met her future husband there.

In 1981, she won the 1981 California Amateur, and was named California's Amateur of the Year in the very same year. In 1982, she also won Bay Area Athlete of the Year.

Juli turned pro in 1983 and joined the LPGA Tour just in time to participate in eight tournaments. She only had to participate in five of the eight tournaments before she won her first ever LPGA title. It was in 1984 that was considered her rookie season, and in that year, she became the first rookie of the LPGA to win two majors. It was no surprise then that she won the Rookie of the Year Award.

Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Juli was a huge threat in the golfing world. However, in 1992, she lost two times in the playoffs for majors. Then came a time where she did not win a single tournament from 1993-97. But she did get back on track in the late 1990s where she won the U.S. Women's Open, and the LPGA Championship – achieving a career grand slam.

In all her years playing golf, Juli Inkster has had 31 Tour victories, 7 Major Championships as a pro, and 3 Major Championship wins as an amateur. To top it off, she has been a recipient of numerous awards and honors such as being inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
