Luis Oscar González, or "Lucho" as he is more commonly called, is an Argentinian football player who plays midfield and captain for Portugese team FC Porto. He is comfortable both in front of the defence or in an attacking role on the right midfield.
He debuted on a senior level for Huracán in 1998 and joined River Plate in 2002 where his performance towards the Clausura championship win was noted by European talent scouts and in 2005 he was signed by FC Porto. In his first season for Porto he scored ten goals and was integral in the team's winning the Portugese double.
Lucho has played for Argentina in the Olympics (Gold Medal), in the World Cup (quarter final), and in the Copa America (final).
