Marty Turco is a Canadian goalie on the Dallas Stars.
Turco was drafted by Dallas in 1994. He then played college hockey at the University of Michigan where he won two NCAA championships. Turco joined the Stars in 2000 as Ed Belfour's backup. When Belfour was dealt to Toronto, Turco earned the starting job in 2002-03. In his first season as a starter, he set a NHL record with a 1.72 GAA and led the league with a .932 save percentage. Turco has been one of the best goalies in the NHL over the past five years. However, his playoff numbers were somewhat lacking, until the 2008 postseason, when he backstopped the Stars to the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the eventual Cup champion Detroit Red Wings.
Turco played for Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
