Brad Richards is a Canadian center on the Dallas Stars.
Richards was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1998. He helped the Lightning win the Cup in 2004, winning the Conn Smythe as the playoff MVP and the Lady Byng Trophy as the league's most sportsmanlike player. Richards was one of the staples of the Lightning franchise, before being traded to the Stars at the 2008 trade deadline. Richards scored five assists in his first game in Dallas, and tied an NHL record with four points in one period of a playoff game against San Jose.
Richards has been a representative for Team Canada at multiple international hockey tournaments. He won bronze at the 2000 World Junior Championships, and won a gold medal at the 2004 World Cup.
