Stacey Lovelace was born on December 5, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan.

High School
Stacey played high school basketball at St. Martin De Porres in Detroit.

College
Stacey went to Purdue University and played basketball for the Boilermakerse.

She led Purdue to their fi =rst Final Four during her sophomore season. As a senior, she averaged 15.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 1.6 apg in 30 games played. Stacey was the 1995 and 1996 team MVP. She was named 1995 Big 10 Player of the Year. In 1995-96, she was named Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American.

Stacey holds Purdue's single season and career record for blocked shots.

WNBA
Stacey began her WNBA career with the Seattle Storm in 2000. After two seasons she was released. She was signed by the Minnesota Lynx in 2004, and played there for two seasons.

She spent 2006 with the Chicago Sky, and 2007 with the Washington Mystics.

International
Stacey started playing overseas in 2001, and has played in five different countries: Turkey, Israel, Portugal, Spain, and France.

While playing for Calais (FRA) during the 2003-2004 season, she averaged 17.7 ppg and grabbed 7.2 rpg. Most recently, Stacey played for Besiktas Cola Turka (Turkey), averaging 23.9 ppg and 9.6 rpg.
