Veljko Paunovic is a Serbian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Almeria. He plays as a striker.
Veljko Paunovic is a sort of footballing journeyman and has played for a whole host of club across Europe after starting his professional career at Serbian club FK Partizan in 1994. He moved to Spain the very next year and then commenced his footballing travel. He played for UD Marbella, Atletico Madrid, Real Mallorca, Tenerife and Getafe before joining Almeria in January 2008 on a two-and-a-half year contract.
Veljko Paunovic made his international debut for erstwhile Yugoslavia in February 2002 against Mexico in a 2-1 win and actually scored during the match. He played one more match and that came in 2004.
