With only 8 years as a professional player, Adam Scott has already placed himself in the number 3 rank in the world of men’s golf. This is a feat accomplished by a select few players in the history of men’s golf and Scott is one among three. Scott turned professional in the year 2000 and now has fourteen recorded professional wins.

Many say that Adam Scott is a natural successor to Greg Norman, an Australian just like Scott who is also a great golfer. This fact was further reinforced with Greg Norman’s caddy joined Scott in the year 2004. Though Scott turned professional in 2000, it was the year after that marked his professional playing career. In 2001, he was able to win the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Championship. The following years he was able to win two other European titles namely the Qatar Masters and Scottish PGA Championship.

Adam Scott’s first PGA tour win was in the United States in the year 2003. After that, Scott continued to climb the ladder of success as he was able to win PGA tours after PGA tours. In 2005, Scott managed to reach the top 10 Official World Golf Ranking for the first time ever. Now, he has spent over 150 weeks ranked in the top 10.

Feeling that he has played enough European tournaments, Scott is now focused in playing PGA tours. Just before the US Open, Scott broke his little finger on this right hand caused by car door slam. He had to play practice rounds preparatory to the US Open and many are concerned at how this might affect his game since Scott is known for his right-handed swings. However, with fourteen professional wins in only 8 years of professional golf, Adam Scott is sure to make it in the US Open.
