Stewart Cink was a Georgia Tech alumna playing golf for the Yellow Jackets. His parents, golf enthusiasts, introduced him to the sport as a young boy. His biggest win to date is placing runner up to Tiger Woods in the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship held February this year. He is ranked 12th in the Official World Golf Rating.

Cink turned professional in 1995 and won the Mexican Open the year after. He joined the PGA Tour in 1997 and as a rookie, won the Canon Greater Hartford Open defeating Tom Byrum, Brandel Chamblee and Jeff Maggert. The following year, he lost the tile to Olin Browne. He earned the prestigious MCI Classic title in April 16, 2000 beating Tom Lehman by two strokes. The year 2004 was the year of the Cink, clinching the MCI Heritage Championships on April 18, 2004 against Ted Purdy and the WGC-NEC Invitational in August 22, 2004 against Tiger Woods and Rory Sabbatini.

He has played consistently over the years ranking in the Top 10 since 1998 (US Open). Cink has averaged T3 at the PGA Championship in 1999 and T10 in 2002. His bid at the Masters earned him tenth place win in the 2006 Tournament. His performances in the Open Championship gained for him T6 rankings. Aside from his T10 finish in 1998, he has also averaged at T8 in the 2000 US Open and third in 2001.

His 2008 performance could be seen as something at par with his 2004 record. After placing second in the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play, he went on with a scoring average of T2 at the PODS Championship, T3 at the Buick Invitational, T3 at the Masters Tournament and T7 at the Verizon Heritage. He currently resides in Duluth, Georgia.
