Rickey is baseball's all-time leader in stolen bases and runs scored. He also holds the single-season record for stolen bases. In a 25-year career with nine clubs, Henderson's high on-base percentage, power, runs scored, and stolen base totals made him the premier leadoff hitter of his era; many consider him the best ever.
In 1982, he set the modern major league single season record for stolen bases at 130, and the modern major league record for career stolen bases in 1991.
Rickey made his debut with the Oakland As in 1979, and played for 24 years, retiring in 2003.
