Steve Ott is a Canadian center on the Dallas Stars.
Ott was drafted by Dallas in the 1st round of the 2000 NHL Draft. He played with the Windsor Spitfires before coming to the NHL in 2002. He played 26 games in his first season, before making the permanent roster in 2003-04. During the lockout in 2004-05, he set a Hamilton Bulldogs record for penalty minutes with 279. Ott has been a solid role player for the Stars, accumulating 67 points and 543 penalty minutes over 273 games with the Stars since 2002.
Ott played for Team Canada at the 2001 World Junior Championships, where he won a bronze medal.
