Yuvraj Singh is a professional Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national team. In 2003 he played his first Test match. However in case of One day Internationals he has been playing since 2000 and currently is the vice captain of the One Day International team. Yuvraj is a left handed batsman and a left arm slow orthodox bowler.

In the final of the Cooch-Behar Trophy Yuvraj was the captain of the U-19 Punjab cricket team and he scored 358. Then he was chosen for the U-19 World Cup played in January 2000 in Sri Lanka where he played under Mohammad Kaif and this team won the Cup.

In 2000 at Nairobi the ICC KnockOut Trophy is played where Yuvraj debuted in the One day Internationals. In the second match against Australia he scored 84 runs in 82 deliveries. In July 2002 while playing against England in the NatWest Series final Yuvraj was involved in a partnership with Mohammad Kaif due to which India was victorious. Seeing his performance in the prior games Yuvi was selected for the 2003 World Cup.

The 2007 world cup was disappointing for the young star. He managed to achieve only one Half century against Bermuda and was criticized for India's first-round exit. In spite of this performance Yuvraj was included in the Indian team for the year 2007 for the tours of Ireland and Bangladesh.

In November 2007 he 121 runs against Australia. However India lost that match. In the following series against Pakistan, Yuvraj was named as the Man of the series for scoring 4 half centuries in 5 matches.

In the Twenty20 world cup held in Durban, Yuvraj hit a stunning six sixes off six balls. Due to this he recorded the quickest fifty ever in a Twenty20 match which was just in 12 deliveries and also the quickest in any version of international cricket. For this 6 sixes achievement he was awarded a Porsche 911 car by the Vice President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). For his impressive performance in the Twenty20 World Cup the BCCI awarded him 252716 USD in cash.

Yuvraj Singh was also a part of the Indian Premier league in which he represented the Kings XI Punjab in the year 2008.
