Esteban Matías Cambiasso Deleau, commonly known simply as Esteban Cambiasso, is an Argentine international footballer who currently features for the Italian giants and champions Inter Milan. Cambiasso is a defensive minded midfielder with a propensity to go on the attack too.

Cambiasso started his professional career with Argentinos Juniors in 1995 and moved to Real Madrid B in 1996. He then moved back to Argentina and stayed on loan from Real Madrid for the next three years until 2002 first at Independiente and then at River Plate.

Esteban Cambiasso returned to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2002 and won the UEFA Super Cup immediately. He also played an important role in Real's 2002-2003 La Liga conquest and featured heavily for the Spanish giants until the summer of 2004 when his contract with the Merengues expired.

Cambiasso's defensive qualitied coupled with his atacking urge made him one of the best midfielders around at the time and Inter Milan signed him on a free in the summer of 2004. He has since won three successive scudetto with Inter Milan and has established himself as one of the main players in the large Inter Milan squad.

Esteban Cambiasso is also a regular for the Argentine national team. He made his debut for Argentina in 2002 and played for Argentina in the 2006 World Cup where he unfortunately missed his penalty in the shootout against host nation Germany in the quarter-finals.
