Stephane Prevot

Stephane Prevot was born in Huy, Belgium. If ever, there has been a true fan of the sport, then it is he. Stephane has an enormous collection of rally memorabilia which he has been collecting for a number of years now. His home was just 100 metres from the Rallye du Condroz parc ferme and his passion for rallying has been present since his was a 10-year old.
Through the years, Prevot worked his way up the national ranks till he reached fellow countryman, Bruno Thiry, in 1991. Their partnership was extremely fruitful and the pair won the World Rally Championships' two-litre title for Opel in 1993.

Prevot and Thiry moved to Ford for some more years of success before shifting to Subaru in 1999 and 2000. 2001 saw them move to the Skoda Team. In 2002, the pair drove a Peugeot 206 that was provided to them courtesy of Peugeot Belgium. They went out on select events during the season before Prevot was asked to come up and read notes for Francois Duval.

After some success in early 2004, the two moved to Citroen for the 2005 season and things began to dissolve between the Prevot and Thiry. They split apart early in the 2005 season with Prevot coming back to the rally scene with the former Subaru Asphalt Ace, Stephane Sarrazin, in 2006.

Midway through the 2007 season, he decided to join Subaru, when the chance came up. He got a seat next to a young Australian Chris Atkinson who is the support driver for the Team Lead Petter Solberg. He would definitely be hoping for a return of fortunes as well, with this change in teams.
