Joffrey Lupul is a Canadian winger on the Philadelphia Flyers.
Lupul was the first round draft pick of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in 2002. He played 75 games his rookie season in 2003-04, scoring 34 points. In 2005-06, he helped Anaheim reach the Western Conference Finals where they lost to the Edmonton Oilers. He set career highs with 28 goals, 25 assists and 53 points in the regular season, and scored 9 goals in the playoffs. In Game 3 of the Conference Semi-finals, Lupul scored four goals against the Colorado Avalanche, including the overtime winner.
In 2006, he was traded to Edmonton, where he played poorly compared to his sophomore campaign. He had only 28 points and finished with a -29 rating. He was traded to Philadelphia in 2007, where he had a much better season. In only 56 games, Lupul had 20 goals and 46 points. He missed nearly a month after colliding with Derian Hatcher and injuring his spinal cord. Lupul returned for the playoffs and finished with 4 goals and 10 points in the postseason.
