Santiago HernĂ¡n Solari is a one-time Argentine international footballer who currently features for the Italian giants Inter Milan. He bears the nickname El Indiecito and plays as a midielder. Solari is renowed for his lethal left foot and clinical final through balls.

Santiago Solari made his professional debut for Argentine side Newell's Old Boys in 1994 but was soon on his way to Argentine powerhouse River Plate in 1996. He played for River for two seasons and was signed by Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 1998.

Bt Atleti's relegation to the Segunda Division at the end of the 1999-2000 season, Santiago Solari moved onto cross city rivals Real Madrid. He played a crucial role in Real's 2002 UEFA Champions League triumph but was used mostly as substitute for the club from next season onwards. Yet he was cheered by the Real Madrid supporters and played well during the few minutes that he was allowed to play for them.

Inter Milan signed Solari in the summer of 2005 on a free transfer but hasn't ben able to thread into the first team at the San Siro. He is speculated to be on his way to a Mexican side in the summer of 2008.

Santiago Solari is the cousin of the Argentine great Fernando Redondo and his uncle Jorge Solari played for Argentina in the 1966 FIFA World Cup.
