Mark Hartigan

Mark Hartigan is a Canadian center on the Detroit Red Wings.

Hartigan was never drafted, but signed with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2002. He spent his college career at St. Cloud State University, where he holds most of the school offensive records. In 2001-02, he was a Hobey Baker Award finalist as one of the top college hockey players in the country.

Hartigan has never played a full season in the NHL. In 2005-06, he set career highs with 33 games played, 9 goals, 12 points and 22 PIM, during a stint with the Columbus Blue Jackets, whom he played with from 2003-2006. He played 6 games for Anaheim during their Cup winning season, but his name was left off the Stanley Cup. He signed with Detroit in the offseason before the 2007-08 season, and played 23 games on the way to winning the Cup.
