Wednesday, July 30 2008 -- Italian powerhouse AC Milan have conceded defeat in their bid to sign the out-of-favour Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko on loan this summer.
Milan were interested in signing the Ukranian international striker Andriy Shevchenko on a one-year loan from Chelsea to alleviate their problems in the striking department but have been told by the Premier League side that Sheva is not for sale.
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani himself admitteed:
"He's not for sale. I've asked officially and Roman Abramovich said no. So we must be serious and disciplined.
"Should a club say no, we must accept. It means we have to think of something else."
Milan now might have to pursue the Arsenal-Emmanuel Adebayor link.
