Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has sensationally said that he would quit the club should star player Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the club for Real Madrid this summer.
Madrid based Spanish sports daily Marca has quoted the 60-something Scotsman as saying that he would resign should Cristiano Ronaldo is let go to Real this summer. Spanish giants Real Madrid have been severely linked with a move to sign the 23-year old Portuguese international winger and the player himself has expressed a desire to play at the Bernabeu next season.
"If Ronaldo leaves, I'm going too," the Scot was quoted as saying by Marca.
This is indeed a sensational statement and could heap more gossip on the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer circus.
