Friday, July 25 2008 -- The transfer circus in Spain has thrown up yet another story, Real Madrid again occupying the central position. This time their archrivals FC Barcelona too have contributed in another fascinating transfer story.
FC Barcelona have already made it clear that they do not want Samuel Eto'o in their camp beyond the summer and the Cameroonian international striker himself is quite eager to move out of the Camp Nou cathedral. Eto'o developed at the Real Madrid youth academy and supposedly loathes the club since he never got to play in the first team but it now appears that both Eto'o and Real want each other.
Real Madrid have been linked with a move to sign Samuel Eto'o and the player himself has been eyeing the move. Barcelona though have made it clear that Eto'o is free to go anywhere but the Bernabeu. So much so that Barca sporting director Txiki Begiristain has told Real Madrid that they would be to pay Eto'o's buy-out clause which is a massive 111 million pounds and only then would Barca ship the player to the Spanish capital.
To add insult to injury, the former Dream Team member said: "(Eto'o) is free to negotiate with interested teams, and when he reaches an agreement with one, then negotiations will open between the clubs, as happened with Deco (Chelsea) and Ronaldinho (Milan)."
