Wednesday, July 23 2008 -- Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - There were several games underway in the WNBA tonight.
The Atlanta Dream were unable to stay the course in their winning streak, and fell to the Sacramento Monarchs 79-66.
Minnesota lost to the Seattle Storm in a heartbreaker, 76-73,
The Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Detroit Shock 84-81. The game was marred when Candace Parker and Plenette Pierson came to blows. Pierson seemed to be the aggressor in this writer's eyes.
The Chicago Sky defeated the Indiana Fever, 68-60.
And the Phoenix Mercury continue to struggle, losing to the Houston Comets by 2 points, 94-92.
There's only one game on Wednesday. The Washington Mystics go up against the New York Liberty.
Meanwhile, everyone's waiting to hear how many games suspension the various players are going to get in the Sparks/Shock brawl.
