Official LPGA Online Game Launched

The LPGA recently launched the LPGA eTour, an online virtual game which is a collaboration of the LPGA and MVP Network Inc, an online game developer and distributor. The new online, multiplayer interactive game is a new way for golf fans to play like the pros in a 3-D virtual world. And although no LPGA members are associated with the eTour, the game was designed to give fans and serious players alike a simulation of a real tournament experience through a full season.

The virtual tournaments will be held in 52 weekly 18-hole tournaments. A hole in one, a long drive and beat the pro contests are also in the works. Various prize categories start at $5.99 and players can compete with other players from all over the world for the cash and other great prizes like travel and vacation packages. Singing up for three tournaments entitles players to a free LPGA eTour Card, which they can use to get discounts from the LPGA gift shop.

The 52-week season will end with an LPGA eTour championship, composed of the top 100 players with the most points in the tour. The top 100 LPGA eTour players are also automatically guaranteed prizes for simply placing on the top 100.

LPGA eTour follows in the footsteps of Golden Fairway, MVP Network’s most popular game. The LPGA and MVP Network are also optimistic about the game’s great advertising potential, with 13 advertising game placements per hole and 234 per tournament.
