Wednesday, July 9, 2008 -- The Atlanta Dream won their second game in a row, beating the Minnesota Lynx 73-67. This after having lost 17 straight games.
The Lynx got off to a good start, keeping the Dream to a measly 6 points in the 1st quarter while they scored 19. But the Dream beat them in each quarter after that, and came away with the win.
Betty Lennox led the Dream with 24 points - 17 of which she poured in during the second half. Ivory Latta and Jennifer Lacy put in 11 each.
The Lynx didn't do so bad shooting from the floor, but their free-throw shooting let them down when they needed it most. They led by 6 points with three minutes to go, thanks to the padding they'd gained in the 1st quarter, but they made just 6 of their last 16 free-throw attempts.
Seimone Augustus put in 17 points. Nicky Anosike and Candice Wiggins added 11 each for the Lynx.
