The Euro 2008 final might still be some time away but the mind game has already commenced. Spain international midfielder Xavi Hernandez has labeled Germany as the favourites in the final in Vienna on Sunday.

Spain and Germany clash on Sunday to decide who wins the Euro 2008 finals. This is the first time in 24 reluctantly dragging years that the Spanish are featuring in a major international final and although most neutrals are singling them as favourites over the Germans, the Spanish players themselves are not at all eager to take that tag.

This is what Xavi had to say:

"For many years we haven't won anything while Germany is always up there fighting for the titles, so I would say Germany is the favourite."

Xavi's thoughts echo that of his Spain team mate Fernando Torres but surprisingly Xabi Alonso remarks that Spain, and not Germany, are the favourites for this match.
