Italian gaints Inter Milan are busy player-shopping in the summer and are linked with a whole host of players as the summer transfer traveling circus rolls on. The appointment of the Jose Mourinho has given the Nerazzurri a certain impetus and Inter Milan now seem to desire each and every top quality in Europe.
According to reports emanating from Spain, the Italian champions want to sign the Spanish international midfielder Xavi Hernandez from FC Barcelona. Catalan sports daily Sport reports that Inter Milan have already approached Xavi's agent Ivan Corretja but have had to hear negative news. Xavi joined the Catalan side when he was just 11 years and in the subsequent years have developed to be one of the most important and symbolic players for the Catalan powerhouse.
Ivan Corretja though stressed that his client is happy at the Camp Nou cathedral and that he has no intension of moving to any other club. He said:
"We are lucky that Xavi is a highly-valued player around the world because his performances for Barcelona have always been very regular.
"Even if offers arrive, that does not mean that we have to hear them because his intention is to fulfil his contract with Barca."
Inter Milan though continue to foster impossible dreams of signing the player from Barcelona this summer.
