The Boston Red Sox lost to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, June 9, 2008, by a score of 10-6, but came back on Wednesday with a 6-3 win.
Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon was going to get the night off as the Sox took a 6-1 lead into the ninth inning, but when Mike Timlin gave up two runs, Papelbon was brought in and was able to seal the deal.
Bartolo Colon got the 150th victory of his career in this win for the Sox.
Manny Ramirez extended his hitting streak to 15 games, which is the longest for any Red Sox player this season.
