Portuguese international midfielder Deco is set to join the reigning Italian champions Inter Milan inside the next few hours, according to reports emanating from Italy. The 30-year old Brazilian-born star is currently with the Portuguese national team at the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.
Deco is unhappy at FC Barcelona and has assumedly falled out with the Catalan board members. He was signed from FC Porto in the summer of 2004 and was one of the best players for Barca in the subsequent years. But he was often criticized by the outgoing Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard for his fitness in the 2007-2008 and now Deco thinks that he have had enough.
Inter Milan recently appointed the former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as their new coach and the 45-year old Portguese has already told the Inter president Massimo Moratti that he wants to sign Deco. Newspaper reports from Italy suggest that the player has agreed personal terms with Inter. He is slated to receive 5 million euros per season while Barca shall be paid no less than 13 million euros as transfer fee.
Barcelona are also looking to offload Ronaldinho and Inter Milan again are in the hunt for the 28-year old Brazilian ace.
