The Philadelphia Phillies continue to stay hot, as they completed a 3-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves yesterday with a 6-3 victory. Ryan Howard provided enough offense on his own to beat the Braves, driving in 4 runs on 3 doubles.
The game was tied at 3 in the 9th when Shane Victorino singled in the go-ahead run. Victorino was also the hero of Friday night's win, when he threw out the tying run at the plate to end the game. Howard's double in the 9th plated two more runners, providing more than enough offense for Brad "Lights Out" Lidge, who pitched a perfect 9th to earn his 17th save.
Blaine Baylor took the loss for the Braves, as he was battered for 3 runs on 4 hits in the top of the 9th. Chad Durbin earned the victory with two scoreless innings in the 7th and 8th.
