Saturday, June 7 2008 -- It was always on the cards, ever since the 2007-2008 season in La Liga winded up and now the drama over the Daniel Alves transfer saga has folded up its tent too. According to the Catalan sports daily Sport, FC Barcelona and FC Sevilla have agreed terms for the move of the player from Andalucia to the Camp Nou this summer.
According to latest reports emanating from Spain, Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has agreed to sell the player at 32 million euros, 3 million euros less than what he had originally demanded. Of course the amount would rise to the 35 million mark depending on how well the Brazilian international right back does at Barca.
FC Barcelona now have replaced Zianluca Zambrotta in their side. The Italian international right back moved to AC Milan a few days back and his place in the team shall now be taken up by Alves, who is reputed to be the best in the world in his position. No comments were available from the player himself who is the USA at the moment but he shall certainly be pleased that he is moving away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan at long, long last.
