More Drama In the Ronaldo Saga

Everyone these days know how the Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is being hotly hunted by the Spanish and European giants Real Madrid. Madrid are said to be hell bent on signing Ronaldo and although the 23-year Portuguese international has repeated that he loves playing at Old Trafford, he has maintained that he would like to play in Spain one day.

Now there has been a further twist in this farce. The Godfather of Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernao Sousa, has now laced himself into the scenario and has made it clear that Ronaldo has set his heart on moving to the Spanish capital.

This is what Sousa said to the Madrid based Spanish sports daily Marca:

"I believe that he has decided he is going to Real Madrid but he is not going to say so until after the European Championship."

Now since everyone has been throwing his or her comments, why should Monsieur David Beckham be left out? The former Real Madrid made this comment on the saga:

"I believe he's at the right club and a club he should stay at because as much as Real Madrid are a great team and one of the biggest clubs in the world, he's only just starting at Manchester United.

"He's only been there a few years. He's got a lot of people around him who will protect him. As a fan of Manchester United I hope he stays there but who knows?

"It's none of my business. All I'm going to say to him is congratulations on an amazing season. I'm sure he'll be crowned world player of the year and he deserves it."
